CSR plc today announced that Mio Technology Corporation (million €), a leading provider of mobile GPS devices, has its strategic partnership with the CSR, the CSR implementation SiRFatlasVTM expanded trigger, and RF offer on the SoC platform capability, multimedia and navigation systems for the next generation of personal navigation devices (PND) are based.
The new line is the newest member of the popular series of millions of PND to mainstream consumers. With the addition of CSR and RF technologies SiRFatlasV Trig skills of local NDP new offering high performance and multimedia, to users with the ability to find fast and accurately, wherever they want around the world.
SiRFatlasV is a multifunctional GNSS processor is capable of feeding high levels of integration, performance, economy and energy efficiency to create high volume and value to manufacturers of consumer prices, and location-based navigation. The ARM and DSP SiRFatlasV 11 Dual-core architecture provides a high performance GPS, high-performance computing applications and solid PIM Multifunction capabilities in a single chip to system cost and size while reducing time to market. This high level of integration reduces parts count and bill of materials (BOM) cost, power consumption and size of the board and simplified design and development and accelerate time to market. SiRFatlasV includes technology from CSR from their winter slumber, and provides the ability to navigate in a heartbeat and provides superior performance positioning and navigation through the support of CSR Multi-GNSS.
In addition, the processor can be integrated seamlessly with SiRFatlasV CSR and audio connectivity platforms supporting a broad range of technologies: Bluetooth ®, Bluetooth low energy, Wi-Fi ®, echo suppression, suppression of sound transmission and FM reception and much more. The platform includes advanced triggering RF Radio Frequency (RF) front-end RF chip, the U.S. GPS and Russian GLONASS, European Galileo and Chinese Compass systems supported. In Russia and China, local NDP support technologies such as Glonass and Compass GNSS may be advantageous to avoid the tariffs and expanding sales channels.
